Olga Cibulsky Wigoda, 89, of Zion, passed on November 7, 2011, while surrounded by family and pets in her home after suffering a catastrophic stroke weeks earlier.  She was born March 17, 1922, to Anna and Peter Cibulsky in Danzig Free State (today Gdansk, Poland).  The oldest of four, graduated from Morgan Park High School and attended Wilson Junior College, where she wrote for the school paper and was a cheerleader.  She earned a private pilot’s license in the mid 1940’s, held various government jobs, was very active in the Waukegan Community Players and Mr. L’s Carousel Theatre, and volunteered at Chaplaincy Book Store.  Olga was an active member of Condell’s Centre Club in Gurnee where she kept worked out numerous times a week to stay in shape.  Olga enjoyed lounging in her hammock, reading the newspaper, walking her dogs, visiting the lake, thrift shopping, dumpster diving, feeding the Zion geese and other stray creatures, like human beings.  She practiced a reusable “green” lifestyle.  Olga was a supportive mother and grandmother.  Some of the words she lived by included “Do what you want,” “Try everything once,” and “Have learning experiences.”  Olga was a free spirit and was quoted in the News Sun in 1977 as saying “Everything is kinda on an impulse around here.”
